Valley View Elementary was a hive of activity
Thursday, with both a Book Fair and a Knowledge
Fair going on at the same time, along with a
free dinner for guests, entertainment by the
fourth-grade class and a dessert auction. Knowledge Fair judges; chief judge Julie Colson, Chris Pease, Brandon Glaza, Ed Katz, Bill Leach, Carrick Remaley, Albert Solt and Steve Petesch, had their work cut out for them, as entries in both the science and academic categories were awesome! Not only the students but their guests as well gained considerable knowlege. Austin Kemmis won both first place and the Judges' Award in the science division, Serenity Fahey took second and Michael Youngwirth third. First and Most Original honors in the academic division went to Hannah Andrews, Katie Clairmont took second and Pierce Hite third. Judges' Choice honors went to Sydney Nelson and Best Display to Bethany Coogan. After enjoying a dinner of pulled pork sandwiches, guests further enjoyed a round of patriotic songs, led off with Idaho's State Song, "Here We Have Idaho." |
