Bonner Ferry man charged with sex crimes
|
March 9, 2013 |
A 55-year old Bonners Ferry man was charged April 30 with
three felony counts of lewd conduct with a
child, each of which could lead to life in
prison if he's convicted.
Danny G. Nieman, 1015 Limber Road, stands
accused of inappropriately touching an eight
year old girl twice over a three day period in
March.
The third charged stems from an incident that
allegedly occurred in Boundary County 37 years
ago, when, in the late summer of 1975, he
allegedly engaged in the same type conduct with
a Bonners Ferry woman just seven years old at
the time.
According to court records, statute of
limitations questions in that case have been
raised, but thus far that charge stands.
Nieman, free after posting $10,000 bond, has
been ordered to have no contact with the alleged
victims or their families; he is due to make an
initial appearance in court May 13.
