Mount Hall
intervention specialist Cheryl Economu
reacts to news that she is the Boundary
County School District 101 Classified
Employee of the Month. |

Mt. Hall Elementary Principal Jim Nash is a
talker, but he's seldom effusive. You can tell
he's run out of things to say when he says, "and
I could go on and on!" That's what he did in
nominating School District 101's April
Classified Employee of the Month, Cheryl Economu.
While her exact words weren't recorded, it's
obvious that Cheryl, by the look on her face
when told of the selection by Mr. Nash
(photo above) is even less effusive!
"Cheryl Economu is a caring, dedicated,
positive, flexible, and highly skilled" Nash
said, (this is where "I could go on and on"
kicks in) "'specialist!' Cheryl has risen to the
call of doing more with less. She was asked to
do the work of two people this year as our Math
and Reading Intervention Specialist at Mount
Hall.
"At the end of last year, our funding was
reduced and Cheryl was asked to fill the void
created by the elimination of another full-time
interventionist. She has done so with great
result and competence, while maintaining a smile
on her face and love in her heart. This is the
FINE person she is, as she literally dashes
about from one group to the next all day long.
In other words, she doesn’t have a second to
spare on her tight schedule! Our Mount Hall
Family (kids, staff, volunteers, and parents)
says thanks to her and for Boundary County
School District 101 to recognizing her for this
deserving award."
Nash can't be sure, but he thinks Cheryl said
"thank you!" as she flew past. |
