Orange flags for pedestrian safety

Chief, Bonners Ferry Police Department
In an effort to increase the safety of
pedestrians using the crosswalks on Highway 95
near Fry Street, Augusta Street and Eisenhower
Street, the city of Bonners Ferry has placed
orange flags at these locations for pedestrians
to use while crossing.
With Highway 95 being an extremely busy
thoroughfare and visibility at times being poor,
it is our hope that the flags may help reduce
the risk of a serious accident.
Although there are no ordinances requiring the
use of the flags, we hope that people will use
them for their own safety
The City of Bonners Ferry would like to thank
the Bonners Ferry Police Department, Bonners
Ferry Traffic Safety Committee, Bonners Ferry
Street Department, Bonners Ferry City Council
and the Idaho Transportation Department for
their help to complete this project. |
