Dr. Ernie Lucero passes

News Bonners Ferry is saddened to report the
sudden passing of long-time Bonners Ferry
medical practitioner Dr. Ernie Lucero, who died
at his home Saturday of an apparent heart
attack, his wife, Carol, at his side.
According to Boundary County Coroner Mick
Mellett,
Dr. Lucero, 65, collapsed at about 6:30 p.m.
Saturday.
He ran a private family practice in Bonners
Ferry for more than 30 years, and served on
staff as an emergency room physician and family
practitioner at Boundary
Community Hospital. He helped
train and mentor a generation of volunteer emergency
medical technicians who served with Boundary
Volunteer Ambulance.

many friends.
