Winter storm watch issued above 2,500

The National Weather Service, Spokane, issued a
winter storm watch to go into effect Monday
afternoon through Tuesday morning for areas
above 2,500 feet, with snow accumulations of
five to 10 inches possible.
Valley areas near the Canadian border could see
up to two inches of snow overnight.
According to the National Weather Service, rain
and mountain snow will develop late Monday
afternoon, with snow beginning at elevations
above 3,500 feet. The snow level will drop
overnight Monday and into Tuesday morning before
tapering off by midday Tuesday.
