SWISH replaces Valley View hoops
|
April 21, 2012 |
|
Kids at
Valley View appeared delighted with the
brand-new basketball hoops that went up
Wednesday. That's Ron Sukenik, right,
rear, and Megan Brown, right front. |
|
On April 18, Ron Sukenik, Bonners Ferry Rotary
Club, and Gary Mohler, a devoted SWISH
volunteer, delivered two new basketball hoops to
the students at the Valley View School.
Megan Brown, a School and a SWISH volunteer, was
also on hand.
This now completes the SWISH hoop project there.
Through funds raised at SWISH, we have replaced
a total of six old hoops that were in poor
shape. SWISH has also redone three hoops on the
slab at the Boundary county fair grounds.
SWISH is a win win win for Boundary County.
The event brings visitors and guests to our
beautiful community, it provides a forum for
fantastic sportsmanships and fun for all ages,
and it helps Rotary raise funds that are then
put back in to our community. It can not happen
with out all of the fantastic sponors,
volunteers, players, and their family and
friends who come to cheer them on.
This years' SWISH will be held July 14-15, and
teams can register by mail or on line at
www.bfswish.com.
