Boundary County
Commissioners are seeking letters of interest
from those interested in filling a four year
term on the Boundary County Planning and Zoning
Commission. To qualify, those interested must
reside within Boundary
County and have lived here for at
least two years.
The Planning and Zoning
Commission meets on the third Thursday of each
month and, applying the provisions of the
Boundary County Zoning and Subdivision
Ordinance, and either decides on or renders
decisions to the Board of County Commissioners
on applications for land uses within county
jurisdiction.
Current members of the
Planning and Zoning Commission are Dan Studer,
chairman, Matt Cossalman, vice-chair, and
members Marciavee Cossette, Steve Shelman, Bruce
Behrman, John Cranor, John Moss and Ron Self.
Terms on the Planning and
Zoning Commission are for four years, and the
term that is vacant is a full four year term.
Those interest should
submit letters of interest, telling of your
qualifications and reasons why you’d like to
serve, to Boundary County Planning and Zoning,
PO Box 419, Bonners
Ferry, ID 83805, by email to
planning@boundarycountyid.org, by fax at
(208) 267-1205, or bring them to the planning
and zoning office, Room 16 at the
County Courthouse.
Letters should be submitted
by 5 p.m.
Thursday, March 8, to allow for Planning and
Zoning Commission review at their next regular
meeting at 5:30
p.m., March 15. A recommendation will
then be submitted to
County
Commissioners, who will make the
appointment.
