'Strong Women' helping local women since 2007 |
December 30, 2011 |
The Strong Women" program was introduced in
Boundary County in 2007, and its many
participants have been reaping the benefits ever
since. In January, the University of Idaho
Extension will introduce five new instructors
who recently completed Tufts Strong Women
Instructor Training. Sheila Pruitt, Terrie Kralik, Robin Moore, Candy Kelly and Miles Causi will keep the program vibrant well into the future. Strong Women is an inexpensive 10-week strength training program developed by Tufts University and the Center for Disease Control for women of all ages and abilities. Participants work at their individual level, and all equipment is provided. Classes for the New Year begin January 9, and class size is limited, so please register early. You'll be glad you did, as you'll see improvement in both strength and flexibility soon after you begin. To get signed up, call the Boundary County Extension Office, (208) 267-3235. |
