A 57-year-old Ponderay woman suffered serious
injuries in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 95 in
Bonners Ferry early this morning. According to the Idaho State Police, Beverly A. Mitton was traveling south in a 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup near milepost 503 when she lost control of the vehicle after hitting a patch of ice, leaving the highway on the north side, where the pickup overturned and struck a tree. Boundary County Sheriff's deputies made the initial response to the call, and a Med Star helicopter was called in to fly her to Kootenai Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. Her condition is not known. |
