9:28 p.m. Monday claimed the life of Roy Dale
Kelso, 56, Moyie Springs, apparently the first
victim of winter driving conditions in Boundary
County this year. According to the Idaho State Police, Kelso was westbound on Highway 2 in a 1994 Chevrolet pickup when he crossed the center line and drove across the eastbound lane, where he struck a guardrail, went down an embankment and overturned, striking several tree before coming to a rest on its top. Serious accident shuts down Highway 2 near Montana line: 9:45 p.m. November 7: A deputy has just arrived on the scene of a reported injury single vehicle accident and has advised dispatch that the highway is shut down at this time, with no estimate as yet when the highway will reopen.
