Mandolins, vino ...
Naples is going Italiano!

September 19, 2011 |
From 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, September 24, Naples
is going Festiva Italiana!
Pizza, Italian soda, vino from Pend Oreille,
checkered table cloths and mandolins ... Mama
Mia!
You don't have to cross the sea to enjoy, just
visit one of the best and hardest working small
unincorporatred towns in North Idaho, lying
quietly along U.S. 95, a place that is proud of
what it is and its heritage.
The very first Naples Italian Festival, taking
place on the beautiful lawn in downtowna Naples,
Idahoa ... (notice if you add an "a" to the end
of a word, it's Italian? Add an "eh," it's
Canadian. I don't think they teach that in
school) ... will bring to life the history of
how Naples, Idaho, little town that it is,
possesses the second oldest surviving business
in North Idaho (the Naples Store), a school
that's raised scholars, a community that is
proud.
Great accompania, greata friendza ... (I'm
German, but I'm doing the best I can!) bringa
your familia and enjoya!
If you have time to pitch in and help, the folks
at Naples won't mind if you aren't fluent ...
appreciato! Mozzeralla cheeza! Green Bay
Packers! (Sorry ... I threw that last in on my
own and without any help).
They're going to be grateful you're there. Ifa
you'da like a to meet a mia? Meeting a beautiful
girla? Me taka pictura of a youa ...
Forgeddabout id ... hava mucha respecta!
Unless you don'ta go ... then we feela sorry for
you-a.
Thank goodness I speak a Italiana-a ...
Napalese! If you don't believe it, justa aska
me. Kapiche?
