Missing hikers found

Two hikers reported missing late Friday night
were found safe Saturday afternoon in the
Pyramid Lakes area.
Melody Braden and Raymond Sayers, both 22 and
from Bonners Ferry, had gone hiking Friday. When
a family member confirmed that their car was
still at the trailhead at about midnight, the
sheriff's office was notified and a search
launched at first light Saturday.
In addition to sheriff's deputies, family
members and friends, members of the sheriff's
posse, Boundary Search and Dive Rescue, the U.S.
Forest Service and the U.S. Border Patrol took
part in the search, which ended in the early
afternoon when the two were found safe. |
