#101 Trustee Elections for Zone #3 and Zone #4
will be held
May 17, 2011.
Anyone wishing to run for one of the Trustee
positions must be a qualified registered voter
in the Zone they wish to represent. Declaration
of Candidacy forms can be picked up at the
Boundary County Clerk’s Office at 6452 Kootenai
Street or the Boundary County School District
Office at 6577 Main St., Suite 101, both of
Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Declaration of Candidacy
forms must be returned to the Boundary County
School District Office no later than
5:00 p.m.
March 18, 2011.
To run as a write-in candidate, the forms must
be turned in no later than
5:00 p.m.
April 1, 2011.
Prior to submitting the completed forms to the
school district, residency needs to be verified
at the Boundary County Clerk’s Office of those
signing the Declaration of Candidacy forms.
Due to election consolidation, the
County
Clerk
runs all elections and voting takes place in
precincts. For information regarding absentee
voting, please visit the

The Zone #3 Trustee position currently held by
Sulét Hiatt is for a four (4) year term and is
physically described as the area beginning at a
point on the south line of Section 9, T61N, R1E
where it intersects with US Highway #95 thence
north 2 ½ miles along the centerline of US
Highway #95 to the intersection of Cody Street
in the City of Bonners Ferry thence north on
Cody Street to Van Buren Street thence east to
the centerline of US Highway #95 thence north
along US Highway #95 through the City of Bonners
Ferry to its intersection with the north line of
Section 14, T62N, R1E thence east 1 ½ miles to
the NE corner of Section 13, T62N, R1E thence
south 2 1/4 miles to the south bank of the
Kootenai River thence east along the south bank
approximately 12 miles to a point on the north
line of Section 5, T61N, R3E thence west 4 ½
miles to the SE corner Section 33, T62N,
R2E thence south 1 mile to the SE corner
of Section 4, T61N, R2E thence west 4 miles to
the SE corner of Section 2, T62N, R1E thence
south 1 mile to the SE corner of Section 11,
T61N, R1E thence west to the point of beginning.
The Zone #4 Trustee position currently held by
Melanie Staples is for a four (4) year term and
is physically described as the area beginning at
the SW corner of Section 6, T61N, R3W on the
Bonner/Boundary county line thence north 3 miles
to the NW corner of Section 30, T62N, R3W thence
east 18 ½ miles to the intersection of a branch
of the Kootenai River (Deep Creek)thence north
approximately 1 mile along the center of the
river to the intersection of the Kootenai River
and the north line of Section 19, T62N, R1E
thence east approximately 3 ½ miles to the
intersection of US Highway #95 thence south
along the centerline of US Highway #95 thence
south along the centerline of US Highway #95 to
the intersection of Van Buren Street thence west
on Van Buren approximately 2 blocks to Cody
