Thanks to those who made KR Run successful |
July 5, 2017 |
The 2017 Kootenai River Run was held on a
gorgeous summer day on July 1 in Bonners Ferry.
As usual, any event is about as successful as
people are willing to donate their time and
effort to help. In this case, we had great help.
For that, I thank Carolyn Testa, Frank
Christensen. David Grainger and Jim Cadnum, all
of whom recruited people to help.
On the course, David Brinkman, Denise Crichton,
Jan Klopfenstein, Mike Weland, Bob Blanford,
Roger Alexander, Connor Alexander, and five
intrepid kids of Border Patrol Explorer Post
#190, who were: Kaleb Huseby, Judah Draxler,
Lexie Levesque, Dina Cook, and Ian Wallace, all
came and stood a post on the course, helping to
keep everyone safe.
Having either run or helped at many runs over
the last 40 years, I can only say with without
enough good help, the fun runs people like would
not happen.
On behalf of the community, the race organizers,
and all the runners and walkers, thank you one
and all. It was a great day and a great race. |
