Governor answers questions on China's
investment in Idaho
|
July 14, 2011 |
My
office has responded to numerous calls, e-mails,
and letters about the nature of Idaho's trade
and investment relationship with China.
Here is a link to a
frequently-asked-questions document
that addresses many of the questions and
concerns I am hearing from Idahoans about the
important subject of Foreign Direct Investment,
and investment in Idaho projects by Chinese
companies in particular.
Nobody is a stronger, more consistent defender
of our Idaho sovereignty than me - from all
threats, whether it's a foreign influence or a
federal agency here at home.
But with 74,000 Idahoans out of work and limited
access to adequate capital resources for Idaho
companies to start new businesses and expand
existing operations to create jobs, I support
efforts to increase trade and investment
opportunities with other countries in order to
create more jobs for our citizens.
I hope you will join me in our efforts to create
careers and economic opportunities in Idaho.
As Always - Idaho, "Esto Perpetua" |
