What has the school district done to save money?
It went to the four-day school week, closed
Evergreen School, did not replace retiring
personnel, eliminated and consolidated bus
routes, reduced spending and sold property. All
staff members' salaries were frozen in both
2009-2010 and 2010-2011, and they had a
reduction in pay for 2010-2011.
How much less does the state fund our district?
2008-2009: $9,77,355 (actual).
2009-2010: $8,835,742 (actual).
2010-2011: $7,897,212 (estimated).
2011-2012: $6,789,895 (estimated).
Difference between 2008-2009 and 2011-2012:
$2,387,460.
