The Gatlin
Brothers |
After bringing country legend Ricky Skaggs and
Country Thunder to Bonners Ferry last year for a
free concert in Mountain Fest I, Mountain
Springs Church is doing it again this year,
hosting Mountain Fest II and bringing in as
headliners The Gatlin Brothers.
Mountain Fest II will kick off at 1 p.m.
Saturday, August 6, at the Boundary County
Fairgrounds, with activities for the kids,
followed by an afternoon youth stage event
featuring ventriloquist and comedian Mark
Thompson and Mike Hagen and the Strength Team,
an inspiring group dedicated to "breaking
barriers ... building lives."
The day culminates with an evening main stage
event will feature Thompson, the Strength Team,
a message of hope by Pastor Garrett Graupner and
a full concert by the Gatlin Brothers, who
produced a series of gold records during their
40-year career and topped the charts with their
hits, "All the Gold in California" and "Houston
(Means I'm One Day Closer to You).
The event is free and open to the public.
Mountain Springs Church, led by Pastor Graupner,
is a non-demoninational church located at 6789
Main Street on the South Hill in Bonners Ferry.
