After considerable gnashing of teeth, the $50 prize was eventually awarded to Sandy and Marty Steinhagen.
"Not only were they rocking full-on Viking garb with all the accessories," Lillian said, "but Marty shaved half his head too, and that, my friends, is commitment! Skal!"
"Thanks so much!" Sandy said. "It was the best costume party we have ever been to, lots of creative costumes were there, so we are very pleased to have won against a great field!"
