Rain, snow and cool outlook in the days ahead |
October 7, 2017 |
Rain is in the forecast for Saturday, but it's
coming hand-in-hand with cooler temperatures,
with the snow level dropping to 5,500 feet and
more gusty winds.
The day is expected to dawn partly sunny, but
the clouds are expected to roll in, bringing a
50-percent chance precipitation, rain in the
valleys and snow up high. Overnight, the chance
of precip remains at 50-percent, with the snow
level dropping to around 5,000 feet as the
thermometer drops down toward the freezing
point.
The temperature is expected to reach a low of
33-degrees and skies should clear as Sunday
dawns mostly sunny. The sun, however, isn't
expected to bring much in the way of warmth,
with the thermometer on climbing to about
55-degrees before the sun goes down. Overnight
lows are expected to hit the freezing mark and
the snow line dropping another 500 feet to
4,500.
Monday and Tuesday are expected to continue
clear and cool, and the thermometer is expected
to take another dive on Wednesday, with a
daytime high of 49-degrees and a 40-percent
chance of rain and mountain snow through
Thursday.
Temperatures are expected to stay in the mid- to
upper-40s through the following Monday, when the
mercury is expected to crest at 51. Overnight
lows are expected to stay just above freezing. |
